Regional Sales Manager- Intercoms & Access Control

Job Description

Summary

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for driving sales of 2N products Axis-branded intercoms door stations and access control solutions across the Mid-Atlantic region. This includes managing relationships with end users systems integrators distribution partners and A&E firms while developing new business opportunities and executing regional sales initiatives. This is a high-travel role requiring strong technical acumen a customer-first mindset and the ability to build long-term partnerships. The territory covers: Pennsylvania Delaware Maryland Washington D.C. Virginia West Virginia and others as assigned

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic regional plan to achieve sales and margin targets.

  • Build and grow relationships with key integration partners to drive product adoption.

  • Engage with architects and engineers (A&Es) to specify 2N/Axis access and intercom solutions in project bids.

  • Support and grow local distribution partners to ensure strong channel alignment.

  • Collaborate with internal Axis teams to share best practices and support sales efforts.

  • Represent the brand at regional trade shows industry events and professional associations.

  • Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts using Salesforce (SFDC); meet reporting and quota expectations.

  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism ethics and customer commitment in all engagements.

  • Perform other duties as needed to support territory and organizational goals.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Proven success in a sales role with a focus on solution selling and account development.

  • Strong understanding of access control intercom and IP-based security systems.

  • Excellent presentation communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience preferred.

  • Comfortable speaking to technical and non-technical audiences including end users engineers and C-level executives.

  • Technical aptitude in security solutions particularly access control and intercom systems

  • Personal accountability and a commitment to continuous improvement

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent technical/electronics training required.

  • 35 years of sales experience preferably in access control intercom security or related technology fields.

  • Background in low-voltage networking or physical security systems.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 50-70 lbs occasionally for trade shows or demo equipment.

  • Willingness to travel up to 75% within the assigned territory.

Target Salary

The approximate pay range for this position is $140000 to $150000 OTE. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors including but not limited to the individuals qualifications experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
