Supervisor of College and Career Programs
Non-union at-will position
POSITION SUMMARY
This individual will be actively involved in all facets of supporting St. Clair County students through preparation exploration and planning for post-graduation college and career aspirations and will develop innovative ways to positively impact the post-secondary enrollment of St. Clair County high school graduates.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree required; Masters Degree preferred
- Demonstrated leadership at the high school level required
- Experience teaching and/or counseling at the high school level required
- Self-managed with proven ability to set and achieve targeted goals
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work creatively and skillfully with local school district staff agencies and students
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the implementation and increase awareness of BWCAN (Blue Water College Access Network)
- Build relationships with and coordinate career and college-focused experiences with local stakeholders including educators students parents businesses and organizations
- Serve as the BWCAN/LCAN Coordinator
- Collaborate with the SCCRESA Education Services Director Associate Director and others to develop and implement new programs
- Facilitate presentations workshops panels and other career and college events
- Develop career and college preparation exploration and planning programming and curricula
- Provide support to local high schools
- Facilitate in-school student events and educator professional development
- Network with higher education agencies community members employers and counselors to support St. Clair County students
- Supervise and evaluate College Access Advisers
- Become an expert in specialized areas of post-secondary education planning to include:
- College and career choices
- College entrance expectations
- College admission and essay content
- SAT preparation and scoring
- Career planning
- College program offerings
- Financial offerings: FAFSA
- Create and distribute up-to-date informational publications and updates using diverse media
- Create and use quantifiable data to track the success factors of this program
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Education Services

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Employment Date: ASAP-Pending School Board approval and satisfactory completion of the
pre-employment drug screen and background checks
Employment Type: Non-union at-will position
11-month contract (approximately 241 days)
20 days vacation
Compensation: $89000-95000 salary or commensurate with experience
Fringes: Service Personnel benefit package
