Advisor Systems EngineeringMainframe Datacom(Network) System Engineer
At least 12 years of experience as IBM Mainframe specialist (zSeries) with focus on network technologies
Configure debug and maintain TCPIP and VTAM subsystems configurations
Knowledge of all products using SNA & IP (DB2 CICS TSO/ISPF Netview Connect:Direct JES2)
Configure and implement AT-TLS rules
Configure and implement IPSEC policies
Secure Encrypted data transfers (NDM SFTP and FTP/TLS)
Tcpip trace analysis IP Socket OSA adapter SNA EE
Very good understanding of network related technologies (routing protocols IPv4 IPv6 etc)
Installation upgrade and maintenance of VTAM TCPIP OSA and related products on the mainframe.
Strong Networking knowledge.
Knowledge of SMP/E
To support 12X5 Oncall support.
Skills in Printers configuration FTP SMTP SNMP configurations.
Interface with operations
Network management software (includes NetView and NPM)
File transfer software (includes TCP/IP FTP Netview FTP and Connect: Direct)
Session Management software (includes CA-TPX CA-Solve Access and Candle Super Session)
Printing software (includes InfoPrint server and LRS VPS) NCP and NPSI/X25
Very good written and verbal English skills
Ability to work as a part of the team.
Methodical approach to work.
Excellent analytical skills.
Stress resistant and problem-solving capabilities in case of emergency situations
Ability to deal with multi-task issues.
