Job Description

A nonprofit working to empower families is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Data Reporting & Evaluation to support our team!

WHAT WE DO

Parents who want a better life for their child deserve access to the education coaching and support needed to become a positive force in that childs educational and life success. Until all parents regardless of economic circumstances are empowered to be their childs first and most influential teacher Parent Possibles work is not done.

We promote and oversee delivery of three proven parent engagement programs- Parents as Teachers (PAT) Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) and Vroom providing access and support ensuring efficacy and impact advocating and collaborating with partners across the state and serving as a liaison between national leaders and local program implementers.

Parent Possible promotes and supports evidence-based high-quality programs focused on parents of children from birth through kindergarten. Each program seeks to engage parents where they are inspiring parent involvement facilitating school readiness and strengthening opportunities for children to achieve their full potential.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Senior Manager of Data Reporting & Evaluation leads the strategic vision and execution of data management analysis reporting and evaluation activities across our PAT and HIPPY program sites. This role is responsible for developing and overseeing systems and frameworks that ensure data quality and consistency in support of organizational goals. The Senior Manager will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data is leveraged effectively to enhance program outcomes and impact.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Data Reporting

  • Understand reporting requirements and deadlines of state and federal funders to both be able to compile accurate reports and to support PAT and HIPPY program sites in understanding requirements.
  • Coordinate efforts of the data team to gather clean analyze and compile data required for reporting to state and federal funders.
  • Ensure data collection and data entry practices at PAT and HIPPY sites meet reporting requirements of funders through thorough checks of data entry into the shared data system (Visit Tracker).
  • Compare and merge data from multiple sources in Excel to confirm accuracy of reports.
  • Communicate with diverse staff at program sites clearly and with grace to resolve issues identified when compiling reports. Maintain ongoing communication that is supportive and fosters collaboration and trust.
  • Respond to ad hoc data requests from internal and external stakeholders including executive Parent Possible staff funders and state agencies.

Evaluation

  • Create and manage a comprehensive organization-wide evaluation plan regularly revisiting the tools timelines and training provided to ensure our practices remain relevant useful and meet program site and funder needs.
  • Oversee the PAT and HIPPY program evaluation through identifying and creating assessment tools used data management monitoring analyses and reporting. Historically this includes participant surveys a parent-child observation tool and a school readiness assessment.
  • Work with the training team to update data collection policies and protocols for assessment tools.
  • Design accessible evaluation reports to be distributed to diverse audiences including PAT and HIPPY program sites funders and national offices.
  • Determine when external evaluation support is required. Lead the hiring contracting and implementation of contract work.
  • Manage the Evaluation Task Force made up of stakeholders from program sites.

Data Collection and Management

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data collection requirements for PAT and HIPPY evidence-based programs key government funders (e.g. AmeriCorps MIECHV TGYS) and organizational commitments. Create data collection forms for program site use to ensure requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with Program Directors to develop and deliver training materials to educate sites on reporting requirements data collection forms assessments for evaluation and optimal use of the data system.
  • Create and maintain a calendar of reporting and data collection deadlines for program sites.
  • Identify organizational and statewide needs around the data system including training optimizing user experience and documentation and reporting requirements
  • Ensure data system used to track program information meets reporting needs and functions properly.
  • Remain up to date on database changes updates and reports and serve as a resource for Parent Possible and program site staff on efficient and effective data entry and reporting.
  • Perform and document procedures for data preparation including data cleaning standardization and analysis.

Data Support

  • Maintain close working relationships with Parent Possible colleagues state agencies software vendors evaluation consultants and national partners to facilitate collaboration and process improvement.
  • Evaluate current practice identify inefficiencies and develop solutions to improve operations.
  • Attend participate in and present at relevant data meetings conferences and working groups around the state and country.
  • Manage other members of the data team and oversee team budget.
  • Identify and support research opportunities or areas to streamline processes across partner organizations that would benefit home visiting programs. Develop data sharing agreements and coordinate the secure exchange of data when appropriate.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR ORGANIZATION

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in data collection management reporting and evaluation with demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience including team leadership and budget management.
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience working with state and/or federally funded initiatives.
  • Demonstrated interest in data quality and its use in supporting evidence-based programming.
  • Proficiency in Excel and statistical software (e.g. SPSS SAS R or Stata).
  • Experience with Alchemer or other online survey platforms.
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams Outlook Word PowerPoint).
  • Experience in analyzing and reporting data from direct service programs.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to present complex requirements clearly to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in data collection management reporting and evaluation.
  • Masters degree in a relevant field.
  • 3 years of direct experience with data collection and reporting of evidence-based programs to private state and federal funders.
  • Experience using SmartSheets for data management and visualization.
  • Background or experience in early childhood programs or systems.
  • Bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish.

WHAT OUR ORGANIZATION IS PROVIDING

  • This is a full-time salaried exempt position reporting to the Executive Director. The expected starting salary ranges from $70000 to $75000.
  • Parent Possible maintains an excellent benefits package including employer-paid health insurance dental insurance life insurance CO FAMLI and long-term disability coverage and IRA with 3% employer match from date of hire. Parent Possible also offers paid time off (3 to 5 weeks) paid sick leave paid parental leave and a paid holiday office closure from December 24th to January 1st. For strong work-life balance we are closed every-other Friday.

  • This is a hybrid position. Some work is required (up to 8 days per month) in our downtown Denver office while the remainder can be completed remotely in Colorado.
