Job Title:Electrical Apprentice Department:Electrical Services / Construction / Maintenance Reports To:Master Electrician / Journeyman Electrician / Electrical Supervisor FLSA Status:Non-Exempt Job Summary: The Electrical Apprentice supports licensed electricians in the installation repair and maintenance of electrical systems in residential commercial and/or industrial environments. The role is intended as a learning position where the apprentice will gain practical experience and classroom instruction in preparation for journeyman-level certification. Key Responsibilities: - Assist electricians with installation maintenance and repair of electrical systems wiring equipment and fixtures.
- Measure cut and bend wire and conduit using hand tools and power tools.
- Pull wire through conduit and make connections to circuit breakers transformers and other components.
- Read and interpret blueprints wiring diagrams and technical drawings under supervision.
- Prepare and maintain tools and materials needed for daily tasks.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as ohmmeters voltmeters and oscilloscopes under guidance.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures including OSHA regulations and company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and vehicle (if applicable).
- Attend and participate in required apprenticeship training and meetings.
- Keep records of completed tasks and hours worked to support licensure progress.
