Job Title: Toddler Teacher Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Lealman YMCA Preschool Academy -5175 45th St N St. Petersburg FL 33714
Were hiring caring Full-Time Toddler Teacher Assistants to support classroom activities at Lealman Preschool Academy. This is a great opportunity to be part of a mission-driven team with opportunities for training growth and professional development.
Help provide a safe nurturing and engaging environment for young children
Support lead teachers with daily activities and classroom supervision
Foster the YMCAs core values of honesty respect responsibility and caring
Assist with implementing curriculum and guiding structured and free play activities
Promote positive behavior and help maintain classroom routines
Attend to childrens basic needs including meals rest and outdoor play
Participate in staff meetings trainings and family engagement events
At least 18 years old
High school diploma or equivalent required
CDA credential or equivalent preferred
Completion of DCF MODS (Introductory Child Care Training Parts 1 & 2)
1 year of experience working with children in a developmental setting
Able to work with infants toddlers and young children both indoors and outdoors
Must pass a Level 2 background screening and 10-panel drug test
Ability to sit stand walk bend talk hear and lift up to 40 lbs
Must be comfortable participating in activities and engaging physically with children
Vision requirements include close/distance vision depth perception and focus adjustment
Pay Range: $14.75$20 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time Monday through Friday
