Job Description
General Summary
Provides complex technical support in areas such as research design development testing installation or manufacturing.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
* Provides hardware support to systems *
* Installs and maintains mini-rack systems including upgrades *
* Assists in engineering and/or environmental testing *
* Tests troubleshoots and repairs complex problems *
* Assembles small to large electromechanical assemblies. Tests and troubleshoots assemblies. Combines subassemblies into final assemblies components or apparatus *
* Installs and maintains computer and/or security systems including upgrades *
* Diagnoses and corrects equipment and system malfunctions which fail to respond to standard corrective measures *
* Provides input and direction for maintenance of system mechanical drawings
* May be responsible for the following:
* Assisting others including customers in using special equipment which may be somewhat complex in nature *
* Assisting in research work
* Preparing and generating written and/or oral reports on a regular basis
* Providing work leadership to lower level employees
* Developing/maintaining schematic drawings
* Developing and maintaining system block diagrams
