Provides technical or specialized office support requiring the regular use of independent judgment and initiative.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will need to be a high-level performer be able to handle constant change of focus in different tasks assigned. The candidate will need to have dependability reliability and responsibility timeliness professionalism willingness to learn desire to streamline processes. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships strong customer service skills computer knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of highly responsible office support experience.
Prefer some continuing education in secretarial science business or job-related.
Licenses and Certifications
NCIC Certification must be obtained within six (6) months of hire (Police department positions only)
Must possess a valid state drivers license and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle record and ability to obtain appropriate Nevada state drivers license within required time frame.
Typing rate of 45 net words per minute.

The selection process may include any combination of written performance and oral assessments to evaluate job-related education experience knowledge skills and abilities. The City reserves the right to modify selection devices and test instruments in accordance with accepted legal ethical and professional standards.
