Intern Communications
The Communications Department of Search for Common Ground (Search) is seeking a student to intern in the Brussels office starting in September / October 2025. This internship requires a minimum commitment of 4 days per week.

Department
The Communications department focuses on developing Searchs media engagement as well as effectively representing and positioning Searchs programmatic and policy priorities around the world via external channels such as our website and social media as well as internal channels such as our newsletters.

General Responsibilities
The intern will contribute to media social media and communication related projects on a range of topics. The intern will learn about media monitoring for European countries creating effective social media content liaising with the press and organizing meetings and events.

Responsibilities




      Event Support
    • Assist in the planning and coordination of communications for upcoming events
    • Help develop and schedule event promotion across digital channels (social media newsletter website)
    • Support logistics and outreach efforts

    • French Copywriting & Content Creation
    • Draft and edit communication materials in French including newsletters press releases social media posts and web content
    • Maintain internal communications calendars contact lists and documentation
    • Support translations and proofreading between French and English when required
    • Attend and help organise meetings where required
    • Support with video content if required
    • Support with any other tasks the communications department may have

Requirements

    • Current student in communications public relations marketing event management or journalism with internship being a mandatory part of the study programme
    • Good level of French and English
    • Excellent writing editing and proofreading skills in French
    • Strong organisational interpersonal skills and attention to detail
    • Interest in event organisation and digital communications
    • Self-motivated adaptable and comfortable working in a multicultural team environment

Duration: The intern should be able to commit to working for Search for Common Ground by preference for at least a 3-month initial period.

Compensation: The intern needs to be part of an internship programme at their university. This internship is unpaid; a small stipend will be provided to cover food and transport costs.
Residency requirement: Please note that EU residency is required for this internship.

Location: Brussels.
