TRADE COMPLIANCE DUTY OPTIMIZATION MANAGER TCR4472
HIGH LEVEL OVERVIEW
The Trade Compliance Duty Optimization Manager will oversee the global duty spend and cost mitigation programs across all business units for a large multi-national matrix company while ensuring compliance with customs is a hybrid position for candidates in the Charlotte NC or Elmira NY area.

EXPECTATIONS
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and implement duty savings initiatives
- Manage duty drawback claims with external partners from submission to recovery
- Maintain detailed level reports and records to track duty savings performance
- Evaluate duty savings opportunities through tariff engineering sourcing and valuation
- Monitor changes in trade regulations to understand impact to duty spend or avoidance
- Ability to communicate complex trade regulations to various levels of stakeholders
- Work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions in ambiguous situations
ESSENTIALS
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations including HTS Country of Origin & valuation
- Solid understanding of FTA Duty Drawback and other duty savings programs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
- Customs Brokers License required
- Bachelors Degree required
- 8 years Trade Compliance experience
- SAP GTS Experience preferred
