Are you a vigilant dependable individual who takes pride in protecting others Were looking for a Hotel Public Safety Officer to join our team and help ensure a safe and secure environment for our guests and employees. What Youll Do:
- Safety & Security: Patrol parking lots monitor special events and respond to suspicious activity or safety hazards.
- Incident Reporting: Generate detailed electronic and written reports for all security-related incidents.
- Guest Services: Provide escorts assist with directions and interact with guests and team members in a professional and courteous manner.
- Emergency Response: Coordinate with emergency personnel and security teams during incidents and inform outside agencies when necessary.
- Hazard Management: Identify and report safety hazards and become familiar with hazardous materials on property.
- Facility Oversight: Operate Casino Hotel vehicles retain and manage keys and maintain knowledge of hotel facilities and events.
- Team Support: Attend departmental meetings lead by example and maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Additional Duties: Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
What Were Looking For:
Education & Experience:
- G7 G8 / S13 DOE: High School Diploma or GED required.
- CPR/AED and TIPS certification required (can be obtained during introductory period).
- 12 years of experience in security hospitality or law enforcement preferred.
- Bicycle patrol training certificate preferred.
- ICSand 800 certifications preferred.
Special Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must pass a background investigation and drug/alcohol screening.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid Idaho Drivers License and qualify for Fleet Management coverage.
Physical Demands:
- Mobility: Ability to run climb stairs balance stoop kneel crouch crawl and walk on uneven terrain.
- Lifting: Regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Vision: Close distance color peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Endurance: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (8 hours) and maintain mental alertness under pressure.
Work Environment:
- Public Setting: Work in a public environment with exposure to tobacco smoke airborne particles and mechanical parts.
- Noise Level: Moderate to loud especially on the casino floor.
- Equipment Use: Use standard office and communication equipment including radios phones and computers.
