Note!! This is a short-term engagement (13 months) focused on modernizing existing solutions and improving the user experience across payment plugins.
Our client a fast-growing player in the digital payments space is looking for a PHP Developer with proven experience in developing e-commerce plugins particularly for platforms such as WooCommerce Magento PrestaShop and OpenCart.
REQUIREMENTS
Were looking for a PHP Developer who has:
- Solid experience developing e-commerce plugins particularly payment-related plugins for platforms such as WooCommerce Magento PrestaShop or OpenCart;
- Hands-on experience working with WooCommerce APIs and a strong understanding of recent changes (e.g. block-based checkout);
- A modern approach to UX in checkout and payment flows with awareness of how leading competitors design their plugins;
- Strong PHP skills and a solid understanding of WordPress and plugin architecture;
- Experience integrating third-party payment gateways and working with API-based payment providers;
- The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of plugin design and execution while also collaborating effectively with the internal team for guidance and feedback.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a PHP Developer you will:
- Lead a full rewrite of the companys WooCommerce plugin to ensure compatibility with the latest block-based checkout flow;
- Modernize the current payment flow to improve user experience and align it with industry standards;
- Work closely with internal technical stakeholders to integrate new WooCommerce APIs and ensure full compliance with platform requirements;
- Provide insights and suggestions for enhancing payment interactions based on best practices in plugin design;
- Maintain high-quality coding standards and write clean secure and maintainable code;
- Collaborate and communicate progress regularly to ensure project milestones are met.
