Under the direction of the Program Manager the Occupational Therapist provides consultation assessment treatment and follow-up of clients in the occupational performance areas of self-care productivity and leisure. The objectives of treatment are to facilitate restore and/or maintain clients optimal level of function. The Occupational Therapist provides intervention to address clients occupational performance components (physical cognitive and/or affective). The Occupational Therapist provides education and support to clients families and caregivers. The Occupational Therapist functions as a member of a multidisciplinary hospital and/or community health care team.
The Occupational Therapist may be required to provide services throughout the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio.
