The Position

We invite applications from inspired and proactive PE Teachers for full time fixed term position commencing 21 July 2025 (Semester 2 LSL Cover). Reporting to the Head of Physical Education you will be responsible for working with highly skilled and passionate academic teams and teach across years 7-10 a range of Core PE classes. The successful applicant will also have an understanding of the VCE curriculum.

Ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of curriculum content be able to use technology to support your teaching and understand the individual learning needs of students and develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student engagement.

With a strong ability to teach Years 7-10 you will have a student-centred approach to the delivery of curriculum and classroom management and you will challenge and support students both pastorally and academically.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of curriculum content be able to use technology to support their teaching and understand the individual learning needs of students and develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student engagement.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Relevant teaching qualifications and current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
  • A strong background in teaching PE
  • Experience and/or qualification in teaching health is advantageous
  • Experience in Teaching VCE Physical Education is preferred
  • Able to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
