Job Description
Supporting a range of desktop environments connecting to a variety of Microsoft products and applications the role is required to problem solve and deliver satisfactory outcomes in a customer friendly manner. In addition to the above this position plays a crucial role in protecting an organizations information assets managing risks validation and ensuring compliance with applicable systems.
About the role:
The IT Support Specialist will:
- Provide Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to end-users on hardware software and network-related issues.
- Manage Incidents: Monitor and respond to IT incidents ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support activities including incident reports and resolutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- System Monitoring: Continuously monitor IT systems to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Emergency Response: Be available for emergency IT issues and provide support as needed.
This is a Full-Time opportunity based in South Melbourne within our Information Technology Team. The position reports to the INSERT REPORTING LINE.
Key Selection Criteria:
The incumbent will have:
- A minimum of two years of IT experience
- A bachelors degree in information systems and/or equivalent work experience or IT professional certification
- Available to work non business hours some weekends maybe required.
- Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Platforms especially Active Directory Defender Endpoint Exchange Online Purview SharePoint Online and Team.
- Proficiency with LAN WAN and Wireless networking.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Maintain a high level of professionalism confidentiality discretion and caring attitude
- Ability to participate collaboratively and constructively within teams of peers staff and other stakeholders as well as initiative and effective personal judgement when working alone
- A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children young people and their families
