Job Description

Supporting a range of desktop environments connecting to a variety of Microsoft products and applications the role is required to problem solve and deliver satisfactory outcomes in a customer friendly manner. In addition to the above this position plays a crucial role in protecting an organizations information assets managing risks validation and ensuring compliance with applicable systems.

About the role:

The IT Support Specialist will:

  • Provide Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to end-users on hardware software and network-related issues.
  • Manage Incidents: Monitor and respond to IT incidents ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support activities including incident reports and resolutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • System Monitoring: Continuously monitor IT systems to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
  • Emergency Response: Be available for emergency IT issues and provide support as needed.

This is a Full-Time opportunity based in South Melbourne within our Information Technology Team. The position reports to the INSERT REPORTING LINE.

Key Selection Criteria:

The incumbent will have:

  • A minimum of two years of IT experience
  • A bachelors degree in information systems and/or equivalent work experience or IT professional certification
  • Available to work non business hours some weekends maybe required.
  • Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Platforms especially Active Directory Defender Endpoint Exchange Online Purview SharePoint Online and Team.
  • Proficiency with LAN WAN and Wireless networking.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism confidentiality discretion and caring attitude
  • Ability to participate collaboratively and constructively within teams of peers staff and other stakeholders as well as initiative and effective personal judgement when working alone
  • A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children young people and their families
