The Department of Early Childhood and Elementary Education is seeking to hire aProject Director - Sponsor Funded.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
This position is responsible for all administrative and programmatic management of the Best Practices project portfolio. This includes hiring project staff creating proposals and SOWs conducting research and development supervising training logistics developing evaluation procedures and evaluating training effectiveness.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Responsible for overseeing all financial management of the Best Practices project portfolio. This includes approval of the budget for every project approval of all expenses and financial commitments and supporting Business Manager with finance and budget related issues.
- Supervision and training of all project staff. This includes managing all staff (directly and indirectly) observing trainers in the field and providing feedback overseeing project management deliverable deadlines approving all training materials and presentations and conducting regular performance evaluations.
- Liaison with state and local agencies and organizations. Conduct needs assessments with Bright From the Start and the Georgia Department of Education to develop training solutions for Georgia Pre-K and Preschool teachers and Administrators. Network with schools advocacy groups and early childhood organizations to identify additional funding and future professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with ECEE faculty and Program leaders to enhance the Best Practices training program and program evaluation.
- Deliver high quality engaging hands-on training. This includes traveling to training centers for in person training throughout Georgia and conducting online training for teachers and administrators. Training includes traditional and special education populations in Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

***This is a regular full-time position which involves on-campus and online duties with job continuation dependent upon grant funding.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree and seven years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with Georgia Pre-K early childhood education adult training and sponsored funding.
