Job Description
The Department of Education at Saint Josephs College of Maine invites applications for anAdjunct Instructor position in Education.The adjunct instructor will teach 1 course Literacy Methods: Writing in-person on the Sebago Lake campus during the Fall 2025 semester.
The purpose of the Education Program at Saint Josephs College of Maine is to deliver high-quality teacher preparation programs that align with the mission and values of the college. Our programs are designed for qualified students who are committed to making a meaningful impact in the field of education. The program guides teacher education candidates into professional educators equipped with knowledge versed in pedagogy and framed within the dispositions of leadership community and diversity.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Education related field MS preferred
Relevant teaching experience in elementary writing
Commitment to using up-to-date and best practice pedagogical methods including syllabus and curriculum design
Willingness to prioritize student learning and to form genuine connections with students
