Job Description

Job Description Summary

The Process Quality Engineer (PQE) specifically for Bucket Repair is pivotal in enhancing process and product quality by minimizing defects within repair operations. This role requires collaboration with both salaried and hourly staff to integrate quality into each phase of the bucket repair process. The PQE must develop expertise in Quality Management Systems (QMS) to support leadership in maintaining compliance and pursuing excellence through continuous improvement activities.

Job Description

  • Fulfilment-5 Metrics: Operationalize and sustain quality metrics including Web CRT compliance RCA/RCI cycle and CoPQ tracking to ensure consistent quality standards are met.
  • Zero Exception Culture: Promote and sustain a culture of zero exceptions in quality ensuring operations comply with both regulatory and non-regulatory standards by engaging with shop floor operators regularly.
  • QMS Compliance: Assist the operations team in operationalizing and ensuring adherence to QMS procedures specific to bucket repair.
  • Defect Reduction: Lead projects aimed at reducing defects and work collaboratively with EHS and Engineering teams to promptly address and resolve shop floor quality issues.
  • On-Time Delivery: Facilitate on-time delivery by eliminating rework loops caused by quality issues affecting First Pass Yield (FPY).
  • Quality Initiatives: Champion quality initiatives and projects focused on reducing the Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) within the repair cell.
  • 5S Lean Implementation: Promote and implement 5S Lean initiatives to enhance efficiency and organization within the repair cell.
  • Audits and CAPA: Conduct assigned audits and develop effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) plans to address identified issues.
  • Training Support: Support training activities for new employees or during job changes in compliance with the GEMTEC training verification process.

Job Description

What youll do

  • Supervision of Electrical Equipment Installation works.
  • Implementation of all safety procedures and detection of near misses incidents.
  • Implementation of Zero deviation plan and weekly safety inspection with all sub-contractor agencies.
  • Reporting of any unsafe practice to Site Manager & Safety Officer.
  • Review of installation drawings and reporting of any deviation to Site Manager.
  • Progress reporting on daily basis to Site Manager.
  • Implementation of Quality procedure & method statement for all installation activities.
  • Recording of all incoming equipments & materials at site on delivery and reporting of any deviation / damage to Site Manager.
  • Recording of all equipments / materials issue to sub-contractor and implementation of Monitoring of delivery of equipments
  • Monitoring and control of Hired Employees Store Keeper / Office Boy / Driver / Technicians Etc. on daily basis maintaining and recording the time sheet.
  • Support to Site Manager / Site Engineer in executing material and progress inspection with client.
  • Monitoring and control of smooth site running establishment cost.
  • Monitoring & Control of site housekeeping cleaning & maintaining healthy environment.
  • Monitoring & Control for safety & security of site materials.
  • Support Site Manager / Site Engineer / T & C team in developing of red markup drawings modification as per site requirement for As Built Drawings and punch list clearances.
  • Develop good relationship with client and reporting of any client concerned requirements to Site Manager / Site Engineer.
  • Maintain discipline punctuality and team spirit with all different agencies and all functional members of the project team.

  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related technical field preferred.

  • Prior experience with Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality management systems and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Six Sigma training is preferred
