About the role
This position is responsible for providing leadership oversight and on the job training to support our Skill Development Coaches (SDC) to ensure best practice and compliance with safe working procedures when supporting people with a disability in a workshop environment. As a direct support worker the position holder actively supports participants to learn how to work safely including safe use of tools and machinery whilst assisting them to achieve their goals and engage in their chosen projects.

About you
Youll support people with disabilities through person-centered carpentry projects leveraging your knowledge and team management skills. With a strong focus on workplace safety attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills youll build positive relationships with participants families and staff. A willingness to obtain a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is essential. Apply now to lead inspire and create meaningful impact!
You will have a positive attitude and be adaptive and flexible to the changing needs of clients NDIS and the your work you will build on strengths and where challenges arise you will approach them collaboratively in partnership with families carers and colleagues.
You will also need to hold (or have the ability to obtain) a current Ochre Card Criminal History Check NDIS Worker Screening Clearance First Aid certificate evidence of Australian work rights and an NT DriversLicence.
