30% - Participate in outreach activities including giving class presentations tabling fairs events and more.
15% - Respond to emails and help organize office tasks such as scheduling class presentations upkeep of the info center and its materials and other tasks as assigned.
5% - Work on individual projects such as managing the blog creating social media content providing support for the Global Awareness Program and more.

Position OverviewSupport study abroad outreach including giving class presentations advising students organizing events writing promotional materials creating blog content coordinating small projects contributing to social media content and assisting with general office needs. Collaborate on creative projects with Study Abroad & Global Engagement outreach staff to promote study abroad. Assist students interested in studying abroad; respond to email inquiries; coordinate and prepare class presentations; maintain communication with study abroad returnees; and other duties as requested. Required 10-15 hours per week between 9 AM and 5 based on candidates availability during the hours listed in the preferred qualifications. Occasional evening or weekend hours as needed. Peer advisors are required to participate in Peer Advisor training the week prior to the start of the semester.

Position RequirementsDuring the semester term of the appointment the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
Employment Conditions(1) Student employees are
not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR.
(2) This is an hourly/non-exempt position. A student employee cannot hold an hourly/non-exempt position and a salaried/exempt graduate or undergraduate position (GRA/GTA/GA/RUA/RGA) concurrently.
