Job Description

Key Activities/Responsibilities

  • Daily review of the Parts Order report print pick list and prioritize work load to determine shipping objectives;
  • Pull parts stage in designated shipping area update appropriate software to reflect actions and pack parts for shipment;
  • Identify potential discrepancies in availability or location of parts requested and work with appropriate personnel to resolve;
  • Determine and use appropriate packing methods to ensure parts are secured for shipping and minimize damage to part;
  • Load trucks and document transactions in accordance with established procedures;
  • Identify and request replenishment of stock when levels are nearing or below the threshold reorder level;
  • Inspect and perform fork lift audit at the beginning and end of shift. Perform routine maintenance on fork lift as required Notify appropriate personnel of any issues;
  • Create assemble and input documentation/transactions necessary to prepare package and ship completed units
  • Use appropriate software system to verify status of inventory;
  • Cross-train in other areas of operations including Machining Small Assembly and Large Assembly and be willing to work in these areas as needed;
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area complying with all 5S initiatives and advise Shipping Manager of any maintenance problems that may need to be resolved;
  • Follow and comply with all safety and personal protective equipment requirements;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned;
  • Requires the ability to stand walk and reach to a significant degree.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent;
  • Minimum of 1-year related work experience
  • Understanding of basic shipping terminology and basic carpentry.
  • Ability to use hand tools.
  • Basic computer skills including email and manufacturing resource planning (MRP) software
