Key Activities/Responsibilities
- Daily review of the Parts Order report print pick list and prioritize work load to determine shipping objectives;
- Pull parts stage in designated shipping area update appropriate software to reflect actions and pack parts for shipment;
- Identify potential discrepancies in availability or location of parts requested and work with appropriate personnel to resolve;
- Determine and use appropriate packing methods to ensure parts are secured for shipping and minimize damage to part;
- Load trucks and document transactions in accordance with established procedures;
- Identify and request replenishment of stock when levels are nearing or below the threshold reorder level;
- Inspect and perform fork lift audit at the beginning and end of shift. Perform routine maintenance on fork lift as required Notify appropriate personnel of any issues;
- Create assemble and input documentation/transactions necessary to prepare package and ship completed units
- Use appropriate software system to verify status of inventory;
- Cross-train in other areas of operations including Machining Small Assembly and Large Assembly and be willing to work in these areas as needed;
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area complying with all 5S initiatives and advise Shipping Manager of any maintenance problems that may need to be resolved;
- Follow and comply with all safety and personal protective equipment requirements;
- Perform other related duties as assigned;
- Requires the ability to stand walk and reach to a significant degree.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent;
- Minimum of 1-year related work experience
- Understanding of basic shipping terminology and basic carpentry.
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Basic computer skills including email and manufacturing resource planning (MRP) software
