Access Support Workers are responsible for transporting and supporting children youth and parents for family access visits attendance for appointments and other miscellaneous transportation needs as requested by the Social Workers in our various Child and Family Wellbeing Programs.

This opportunity is for a Relief Roster for Windsor and Kentville locations. This Roster will be used to fill multiple relief opportunities over the next several months.

You have completed an approved child & youth care worker diploma from a provincially approved post-secondary institution or have at least two (2) years of related experience supporting children youth and/or families.

Experience in child welfare or other social services including daycare or youth services is desirable.

You must have a valid drivers license have the ability to travel and access to a reliable vehicle. You will use your personalvehicle and your vehicle must be properly equipped for the transportation of infantsand children.

You must have the ability to communicate in a professional manner using tact and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive situations as you support foster parents social workers in-care youth daycare providers schools birth parents and guardians.

We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination standardized tests oral presentations interview(s) and reference checks.

Pay Grade: TE 18

Salary Range: $26.63- $31.28Hourly
