Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Representative is responsible for effectiveness of the Quality Management System of the company. Must have in depth knowledge of the ISO and AS standards and be able to implement them across complex programs projects and research efforts. A successful candidate demonstrates the able to resolve issues through a continual improvement approach manage nonconforming product and represent the Quality Management System at every level. A consummate Quality professional is able to communicate the needs of the Quality System while ensuring Product Assurance requirements are maintained as the standard of excellence. Ownership and accountability to the internal process is also vital for implementation of a Quality Management System that is embraced by all employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Quality Assurance Representative is actively engaged in supporting the daily operations of the Quality department and ensures the necessary support is available to maintain an uninterrupted production schedule.
- Provide guidance in the balancing of compliance practices with other business initiatives to allow all objectives of the business to be satisfied.
- Drives the continual improvement of robust processes that affect the quality of the product by planning coordinating and executing tactical department projects and corporate initiatives to meet established deadlines and policy deployment objectives
- Responsible for monitoring and analyzing processes and/or product outputs identifying systemic problems and opportunity areas providing data and direction to the site(s) and work with team members to drive process improvements to work toward zero-defect quality performance.
- Ensure that the site and suppliers quality management system consistently meets or exceeds customers and companies requirements.
- Perform contract review on new and repeat orders to ensure compliance requirements and contractual quality flow down requirements are met.
- Assists internal process and systems audits as required to optimize AS9100 certification
- Maintains strong communication with customers internal management team and suppliers to ensure quality level is meeting expectations.
Experience:
- Minimum of eight to ten years quality experience in an Aerospace production environment supervision experience desirable but not required.
- Be well versed in ISO9001 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems Requirements.
- Experience with Lean FMEA MRB NCMR CAR Root Cause Analysis Supplier management Internal Auditing Key Characteristics and establishing Quality Metrics
- Bachelors degree in Quality Management Engineering Business or related field desired but additional relevant experience or Quality Certification would be accepted.
