Job Description
The Department of Nursing in the College of Education Nursing and Health Professions at the University of Hartford is seeking candidates for a non-tenure track position as a Visiting Assistant Professor/Director of Graduate Nursing Programs to begin in August 2024. The program director works in collaboration with the Department Chair and Dean to oversee maintain and enhance the academic quality and viability of the Graduate Nursing programs. Candidates should show a willingness and ability to employ technology in teaching. Additionally candidates will be expected to engage in regular departmental service such as curriculum development advising student recruitment and mentoring. Ongoing curriculum assessment will primarily focus on the MSN and DNP programs which are organized by the AACN Essentials for Graduate Nursing Education. Required Qualifications
We are seeking individuals with the following qualifications: Doctorate degree required (PhD EdD DNP ) Online teaching experience in MSN program or higher degree An active license as a registered nurse in the State of Connecticut Expertise in one or more of the following areas: Curriculum Development Course Development Accreditation processes Development and maintenance of community and healthcare partnerships Student advisement Technology in teaching Communication and collaborative practice Demonstrated evidence of commitment to scholarly endeavors and service in the profession Candidates should also show a willingness and ability to employ technology in teaching and use a variety of teaching methods in the online teaching environment.
