Job Description

Wiltshire College & University Centre have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering to join our team.

Location: Salisbury Wiltshire

Salary: 28168 - 39244 per annum (Academic Grade 4 13) plus a 3000 specialist Skills Shortage Bonus (dependant on skills qualifications and experience)

Job Type: Permanent Full Time 37 hours per week 52 weeks per year

Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering The Role:

This opportunity is ideal for either an early-career professionalsuch as a recent graduate with strong technical knowledge and a passion for educationor an experienced engineer considering a rewarding career move into teaching and training.

Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging industry-relevant lessons to FE and HE engineering students.
  • Bring the subject to life through real-world case studies lab work and project-based learning.
  • Guide and mentor students through coursework projects and career choices.
  • Contribute to curriculum development helping to keep our programs cutting-edge and employer relevant.
  • Work closely with an enthusiastic supportive team across engineering disciplines.

Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering You:

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related subject.
  • Industry experience that you can draw on to enrich your teaching.
  • A teaching qualification (or a willingness to gain one with our support).
