Salary: 31074 - 33294 per annum (pro rata for part-time)

Working Hours: 37 hours per week - Mon Fri

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our outstanding Children Care Leavers team as an Extended Personal Advisor
We work with looked after children and care leavers up to the age of 25 and the role of the Personal Advisor is key to building a long-lasting relationships with our care leavers as they take their steps into adulthood and independence.
In Leicestershire we pride ourselves on relationship-based practice and striving for excellence as an Extended Personal Advisor you will be able build meaningful relationships and create real change with our Care Leavers.
If you are passionate about positive outcomes for Young People and feel you can give care and commitment to our Care Leavers then this is the role for you.


A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.


About You
To apply for this post you must:

  • Relevant paid or unpaid experience of working with young people and/or care leavers within a social care setting or similar.
  • Experience in providing targeted care and support for young with complex needs
  • To be able to organise and prioritise a busy caseload with competing demands
  • The ability to work with a range of professionals to ensure good outcomes for young people
  • Able to analyse information to reach sound decisions often under pressure and take responsibility for their outcome and regular reporting to the Team manager
  • Possession of a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Knowledge of legislation policy and guidance that relates to care leavers and and how this can be used to ensure that their voices are heard and to improve their life chances.


You must also have an understanding of and commitment to equal opportunities and the ability to apply this to all situations
