YOUR ROLE
As a Principal you will be inspired to lead a joy-filled community where students staff and families can flourish within a Catholic context. Your leadership will enable the vision of the school to be realised creating an environment where everyone can reach their full potential. The role of the Principal is one of the most important roles across the MACS system as their faith and educational leadership enables the vision of the school to be realised. This role will work in collaboration with MACS staff members local Parish Priest and the broader School community to achieve the identified goals of the School.
ABOUT ST ROBERTS SCHOOL NEWTOWN
Founded in 1942 St Roberts Catholic school has established a strong legacy of delivering consistent values-based education to Catholic families. With over 80 years of service it has remained steadfast in its mission upholding the traditions of Catholic teaching while evolving to meet the needs of contemporary learners.
The school community is noted for its inclusive and welcoming culture. It comprises a diverse student body and actively engaged families contributing to a vibrant and supportive educational environment. Classrooms are structured to promote deep and meaningful learning while also prioritizing the emotional social and spiritual development of each child.
Spiritual life is deeply embedded within the schools ethos. Students are provided with multiple opportunities to engage in religious practices including daily prayer school- wide liturgies and regular participation in Mass. These experiences foster a strong spiritual connection and are central to the schools identity.
ABOUT THE COMMUNITY
St Roberts fosters strong partnerships with parents and caregivers inviting them to participate actively in the learning process. Communication with families is open and encouraged reflecting a commitment to collaboration and mutual support.
Staff development is prioritized with teachers supported and encouraged to engage with current educational research and practice. The leadership team is highly visible and accessible working in close partnership with both staff and families. Their approach is proactive responsive and rooted in servant leadership ensuring that the school remains adaptable and aligned with the needs of its community.
