- Fixed term contract until 30 June 2027
- Location: Maitland preferred however other DPIRD office locations will also be considered
- Salary from $125K pa to $138K pa plus super
An integral member of a small and busy team you will be contributing to and/or leading the development project management review and evaluation of identified business improvement projects (focussing primarily on Mining Act Inspectorate (MAI)) and divisional projects containing touch points with MAI. This includes as a minimum the review and implementation of improvements to the administrative framework for Assessable Prospecting Operations.
You will also:
- Identify improvements to regulatory practice including developing new policies/processes/systems implementing reviewing monitoring and providing regulatory advice alongside the Principal Project Officer Business Improvement as required.
- Develop processes which support the Divisions commitment to customer focus collaboration compliance and improved service delivery.
- Contribute towards providing technical advice on GIS spatial data management and spatial systems to ensure that best practice is used in developing and maintaining spatial information.
- Raise key risks and recommended actions to senior management for consideration.
- Support other key MAI projects including the implementation and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators for key assessment tasks performed by MAI.
Were looking for a team player who is open to feedback sharing ideas and contributing to a positive team environment. Youll also need:
- Proven experience leading projects ideally within a business improvement space.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as a keen eye for detail.
- The proven ability to critically analyse situations identify problems and develop solutions.
- Proficiency in GIS spatial data management and/or spatial systems
Youll also need to have tertiary qualification or relevant experience in a related discipline such as project management business improvement business analysis change management or risk management.
