- Salary: Up to $30 per hour
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain account collections for clients ensuring timely payments and resolution of outstanding debts.
- Contact clients via phone email and written correspondence to follow up on overdue accounts.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements as necessary while maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Document all activities related to collections and account management for accurate record-keeping.
- Work closely with clients to understand their financial situation and offer suitable payment options.
- Maintain collaboration with other departments to ensure smooth communication regarding account status.
- Prepare reports on collections status and activity for management review.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies relating to collections.
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate s or Bachelor s degree in finance business or related field is a plus.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and collections software.
- Excellent negotiation skills and customer service orientation.
Desired Experience
- Previous experience in collections finance or customer service roles preferred.
- Familiarity with insurance products and services is an advantage.
- Proven track record of achieving collection goals and handling difficult conversations.
