Job Purpose
- We are seeking a committed and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker to step into a First Line Manager role with supervisory responsibilities in our Adult Social Work team. This is a key leadership position that will ensure the delivery of high-quality statutory services under the Care Act 2014 including assessments support planning and adult safeguarding.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Supervise mentor and support a small team of social workers and/or care coordinators providing day-to-day leadership professional guidance and case oversight.
- Ensure the Council meets its statutory responsibilities under the Care Act 2014 including: Completing assessments of need Support planning and implementation Risk assessments Safeguarding adult investigations and enquiries
- Apply a strengths-based outcomes-focused approach to practice empowering service users to live as independently as possible.
- Participate in multidisciplinary working with health housing voluntary sector and other agencies to ensure integrated and person-centred support.
Essential Experience Required
- Substantial post-qualifying experience in adult social care is essential.
Essential Qualification Required
- Degree or Diploma in Social Work (or equivalent)
- Social Work England registration.
Additional Information
- Working hours: 36 hours per week.
- The role requires an enhanced DBS check.
