The role

As a Cyber Security Analyst in our Security Operations Centre (SOC) youll play a key role in protecting critical infrastructure by identifying investigating and resolving security incidentsapproximately 25% of your timewhile focusing primarily on continuous improvement of our security systems protocols and risk posture.

Working alongside a high-performing team of specialists in automation incident response and vulnerability management youll support detection and response across cloud data and operational technology environments. This role offers a unique mix of hands-on security operations and proactive system enhancement with rotating weeks focused on incident response and improvement initiatives.

 

Who are we looking for

  • Youll be a mid- to senior-level SOC Analyst tertiary-qualified in Computer Science IT Systems Engineering or similar with 2-4 years relevant experience
  • Youll be experienced with firewalls (functionality and maintenance) web and email security endpoint security and SIEM and proficient in Python Powershell and/or Go
  • Akamai Check Point Rapid7 and AWS experience are advantageous as is control systems security experience
  • Youll have a track record of taking ownership of problems to see them through to resolution.
  • Youll be a confident and clear communicator with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders both internally and externally with the capability of translating complex technical terms into everyday language.
