Academic Urology & Urogynecology of Arizona offers state-of-the-art treatment and services for individuals affected by conditions of the prostate bladder and kidneys. AUUA is a premier urology practice offering compassionate patient care to individuals throughout Arizona.
Position Summary: Medical Charge Posters are essential for an effective cash flow process and education of providers and staff on insurance changes and claims submission requirements. Medical Charge Posters are key contributors for the financial strength of the practice.
Reports to: Revenue Cycle Manager
Job Duties but not limited to:
- Post charges daily
- Reviews charges for correct coding
- Audit codes for potential missed charges
- Preparing reviewing and transmitting claims using billing EMR
- Reconcile missing encounters
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year Charge Posting experience
- Knowledge of CPT ICD10 Modifiers
- Urology experience helpful
Physical Requirements:Requires sitting for extended periods. Some bending stretching and stooping required. Manual dexterity enough to use a keyboard and calculator. Normal range of hearing and vision and verbal communication is required. Use of a telephone is Requirements:Knowledge of billing and insurance practices and procedures as well as regulations including Medicare Medicaid and third-party insurance companies including managed care contracts. Knowledge of current ICD-10 and CPT codes is required. Strong communication skills are required
