Were currently looking for a dependable caring and organized Transportation Aide to join our team and help provide safe efficient and comfortable transportation for our residents.
Job Description:
As a Transportation Aide you will be responsible for accompanying residents during their transport to medical appointments therapy sessions social outings and other essential activities. Your role will ensure that each resident receives the assistance and care they need to arrive safely and comfortably at their destination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents during transport to medical appointments therapy social outings and other events.
- Ensure residents safety comfort and well-being during transportation.
- Help load and unload residents from vehicles in a safe and respectful manner.
- Collaborate with the nursing and transportation teams to ensure smooth coordination of transport schedules.
- Provide friendly professional assistance to residents and their families addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Maintain a positive supportive environment for residents during transport.
- Report any incidents or concerns during transport to supervisors as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with elderly or vulnerable individuals is preferred.
- Ability to lift and assist residents as needed.
- Compassionate patient and friendly demeanor.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexibility and reliability to meet transportation needs.
