Position Overview:The Business Analyst serves as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and IT providing subject matter expertise on land management permitting and work order systems to support system implementation enhancement and daily operations. This role leads the development of functional requirements testing and training while ensuring alignment with business needs and delivering effective technology solutions.
Duties:- Gather analyze and document business requirements to develop effective solutions in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between business units and IT supporting planning efforts testing training process improvement and daily operations.
- Prepare test plans oversee user acceptance testing and create user documentation and training.
- Translate stakeholder needs into functional specifications process workflows and data models.
- Coordinate small projects manage vendors and consultants and support new product evaluations and implementations.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Communicate proactively contribute to team meetings and foster a collaborative respectful and growth-oriented work environment.
Required Skills:- BA/BS in Accounting Finance Business Administration Marketing Information Systems Management Computer Science or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- 4 to 6 years of related work experience with progressively increasing responsibility
- Local government experience strongly desired
- Knowledge of Land Management / Permitting COTS applications such as Accela Civic Platform strongly desired.
- Knowledge of work order management systems such as Lucity desired.
- Has participated end-to-end in an average size Permitting or work order system implementation in the last 3 years.
- Advanced knowledge of SDLC methodology
- Advanced analytical project planning negotiating interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
- Advanced proficiency using various Microsoft Office products Visio and Project.
