POSITION DETAILS AND DUTIES:
SUBSTITUTE AND/OR PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME POSITION: SIX (6) SEVEN (7) OR EIGHT (8) HOURS PER DAY; TEN (10) ELEVEN (11) OR TWELVE (12) MONTHS PER YEAR.

BASIC FUNCTION:

The job of Cook is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the food service activities at assigned location with specific responsibilities for performing skilled large-quantity cooking in a production kitchen environment; cooking food items that meet mandated nutritional requirements and/or requests of students and/or school personnel; verifying quantities and specifications of orders; reheating assembling wrapping/cupping and serving food; and maintaining facilities in a safe and sanitary condition.

This job reports to DESIGNATED SITE SUPERVISOR/ADMINISTRATOR.

TEST PROCESS:
Please note that the District reserves the right to add eliminate or adjust testing steps and/or information on the posting at any time during the position posting and testing process. The process may include but is not limited to further testing inclusive of on-the-jobtestingrecruitment and recruitment extensions which may be for less than fifteen (15) days after the certification of an eligibility list. REVIEWPROCESS:

ELIGIBILITY LIST EXPIRATION:
Candidates who are successful in all of the screening and testing will be placed on an eligibility list. Typically an eligibility list for a classification expires after one (1) year. Candidates on the expired eligibility list are no longer considered for positions within the class. Eligibility lists may be extended beyond one (1) year or expire sooner than one (1) year. If an eligible successfully tests for the same classification before the current eligibility list expires the eligibility lists will merge and the eligibles most recent examination score will be applied.
