Credit Control Officer
The role will:
- Support the assignment of overdue customer accounts to external debt collection agencies and law firms and assist in monitoring the process to help reduce outstanding receivables and support collection KPIs.
- Work closely with the Legal Department and external law firms to follow up on legal actions collections and settlements.
- Prepare and review case files for referral to legal proceedings.
- Follow the companys credit policy and carry out collection-related tasks using CRM and Billing systems.
- Reach out to customers with outstanding debts to discuss payment options and facilitate settlements.
- Contribute to action plans and improvement initiatives and assist in preparing ad hoc reports and data analysis for internal use.
- Maintain and update tracking files for legal cases in collaboration with internal and external legal teams.
- Manage assigned credit control tasks related to designated customer accounts and monitor the handling of retail customer complaints in both natural gas and electricity services.
- Attend court hearings when necessary in coordination with the Legal Department.
Requirements
- BSc in Economics Accounting Business Administration or a related field. A Masters degree will be considered a strong asset.
- 2 years of experience in a structured Credit Control Department.
- Proficient in MS Office suite with expert-level skills in Excel.
- Familiarity with CRM Billing and ERP systems including data monitoring updates and report extraction.
- Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken).
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal with a customer-oriented approach.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Understanding of legal processes related to debt recovery will be considered an advantage.
