The Manager Clinical Nutrition Services focuses on menu management and the clinical aspects of menus for the area of support as well as providing subject matter expertise. This includes but is not limited to; the development and deployment of Sodexo internal programs and concepts for various dietary requirements reviewing menus across the business from a clinical perspective. He or she acts as a specialized resource for clinical dieticians ensures consistency of practices supports continuous quality improvement and participates in the development of tools policies and procedures.
How Youll Make an Impact:
Program Development:
- Works with operations and other stakeholders to identify menu needs implements and transitions menu changes and monitors overall menu utilization.
- Develops and updates menus standards and nutritional programs for the area of support with a focus on the clinical aspect of menus including nutrition requirements provincial guidelines and various diet types and textures as well as including requirements related to local sourcing or other trends/changes and contract standards per clients.
- Develop training materials for nutritional programs execution.
- Support the implementation of operational processes for the new program
Nutrition Support
- Collaborate with clinical practice leads on-site clinical teams and client representatives regarding menu and nutritional inquiries to ensure the alignment of nutritional requirements. Identifies contingency measures and provides overall guidance.
- Develop and ensure application of best practices and guidelines for clinical nutritional activities manage projects related to the quality of nutritional care and harmonization of practices.
- Organize and lead practice-sharing meetings
Subject Matter Expert
- Supports inquiries from sites clients and region support functions including business development and operations support regarding nutrition from a clinical standpoint.
- Participate in meetings with clients and nutrition teams as a nutrition expert to understand their needs support implementation of best practices and ensure consistency and quality of clinical services offered.
- Actively contributes to the strategic positioning of clinical nutrition services with clients including presenting the value proposition in collaboration with Marketing Sales or Business development team.
- Participates as a nutrition subject matter expert on new or renewal business initiatives and/or presentations. Liaises with clients and client representatives regarding nutrition.
- As a nutrition subject matter expert supports marketing initiatives internal and external communication team; provide guidance regarding nutrition subjects.
- Maintain a scientific and regulatory watch to ensure that practices are in line with current Canadien recommendations.
- Participates in menu recipe testing from a nutritional perspective.
Qualifications :
What Youll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelors degree or diploma in nutrition
- Registered Dietician
- 5 years industry experience in clinical nutrition
- 3 years leadership experience and influencing people
- Strong presentation skills and communication skills (up to and including senior leaders)
- Critical thinking and synthesis abilities
- Strong computer skills experience working with food management software (NetMenu Computrition CBORD Meal Suites etc.)
- Strong training skills
- Project management experience
- Multi-tasking ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize
- Initiative self-motivated and works well with little direct instruction/supervision
- Canada wide scope all segments
- Supports multiple sites providing guidance to in-unit teams and out of unit leadership teams
- Indirectly must have ability to influence all levels of operations focus on DM and GM levels
- Flexible and responsive to new challenges tasks or workflows.
- Providing subject matter expertise as an RD on clinical aspects of menus
- Minimal less than 20% mostly local travel
- Bilingual (English French)
