Internship Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and curious engineering student to join our Engineering team as a Manufacturing
Technology Engineering Intern for Summer 2025. This internship provides a hands-on learning experience for
students pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Industrial or Mechanical Engineering. You will support ongoing
projects that improve production efficiency and quality while learning the fundamentals of process
documentation root-cause analysis and technical communication.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working on the production floor is eager to apply
classroom learning to real-world problems and wants to explore a future in manufacturing engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of experienced engineers you will:
Assist in providing daily technical support to production teams including gathering data observing
processes and participating in problem-solving efforts.
Help develop or update standard work instructions (SWIs) standard operating procedures (SOPs) and
other production documentation.
Support process improvement initiatives by collecting time studies conducting observations and
compiling data for analysis.
Participate in quality control efforts including inspections and documentation updates.
Use CAD software to assist with updating technical drawings or creating simple layouts under
supervision.
Assist with test setups prototype evaluations and basic data analysis to support product and process
development efforts.
Learn how to investigate manufacturing issues identify root causes and contribute to team-based
corrective actions.
Shadow production and quality personnel to gain an understanding of manufacturing operations.
Attend team meetings and contribute to intern presentations or reports at the end of the internship.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Mechanical Industrial Engineering or a
related technical field.
Completion of at least sophomore year by Summer 2025.
Strong interest in manufacturing production processes and problem-solving.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel Word).
Exposure to CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD SolidWorks) is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn in a hands-on environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
MUST be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred (but not required):
Prior internship co-op or project experience related to manufacturing or engineering.
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing concepts or quality systems.
Ability to read basic technical drawings or schematics.
