POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY: Responsible for the application of journeyman skills and knowledge
in installing altering and repairing water gas and sewage disposal system equipment appliances and
fixtures in municipal buildings. Work is performed under general supervision in accordance with municipal plumbing codes and standard trade practices with inspection during process and upon completion. Work instructions may be oral or written and are accompanied by sketches and drawings necessary. No supervision is exercised over other staff.

TECHNOLOGY EQUIPMENT SYSTEMS AND TOOLS: Requires basic computer skills and knowledge of all plumbing related equipment tools and materials.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is mostly performed in a field environment. Regular and predictable attendance is a requirement.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND POTENTIAL HAZARDS: While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands or fingers; handle or feel; talk and hear; stoop and bend over; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
