Job Description
Job Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments. This role involves receiving inspecting and documenting materials as well as organizing shipments to meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Print and read Bill of Lading (BOLs)
- Have basic computer skills (Outlook excel MS Office etc.)
- Verify shipping documents such as packing slips and purchase orders.
- Generate shipping labels and documents
- Ensure shipment meets customer specifications and deadlines
- Coordinate with Drivers for pick-up and delivery schedules
- Accurately document received items into the inventory management system
- Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and condition
- Assist in organizing and maintaining accurate inventory records
- Strong organizational skills
- Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
