Job Description:
The Community Landscaper plays a critical role in maintaining the outdoor aesthetic and safety of the Monte Vista Senior Living Community. This role ensures that gardens lawns and outdoor areas are clean healthy and beautifully maintained contributing to the well-being and enjoyment of our residents visitors and team.

Key Responsibilities
- Grounds Maintenance: Mow lawns trim hedges edge walkways and remove weeds debris and litter to maintain a tidy appearance.
- Plant Care: Water prune fertilize and care for shrubs trees and flowers throughout the property.
- Seasonal Landscaping: Prepare and maintain landscaping appropriate to the season including planting spring flowers raking fall leaves and clearing snow and ice in winter.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure walkways driveways and outdoor communal areas remain safe and accessible.
- Irrigation Management: Monitor and maintain irrigation systems; report repairs as needed.
- Outdoor Enhancements: Assist with landscape design projects such as installing decorative features new garden beds or pathways.
- Resident Engagement: Interact with residents respectfully and warmly; respond professionally to landscaping-related inquiries or concerns.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with the maintenance team and property management on landscaping priorities and community events.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- 1 year of experience in landscaping grounds keeping or a related field.
- Knowledge of plants turf care and landscaping tools/equipment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a residential or senior living setting.
- Familiarity with eco-friendly and water-wise landscaping techniques.
- Certification in landscaping or horticulture (a plus but not required).
