The Oregon Department of Corrections is seeking a reliable detail-oriented Supply Specialist 1 to support daily warehouse and commissary operations at Columbia River Correctional Institution. This important position helps ensure the facility runs smoothly by managing and distributing a wide variety of essential supplies.
About the Job Your Role
As a Supply Specialist 1 youll oversee and coordinate daily warehouse and commissary functions ensuring accurate inventory control and timely supply distribution. Youll work closely with Distribution Services Managers to handle:
Youll perform journey-level warehouse and inventory tasks while contributing to operation efficiency and accountability.
This position is represented by American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). This position may be eligible for Police & Fire (P&F) benefits through Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) as defined by statute.
Minimum Qualifications
One year of stocking storeroom or warehouse experience which included purchasing a variety of supplies equipment or materials and shipping and receiving materials and equipment.

Working Conditions
Requires physical ability to perform heavy lifting for short durations on daily basis load and off-load supply shipments during inclement weather conditions to work in -20-degree storage unit; operation of equipment unique to warehouse operations (forklifts pallet jacks hand trucks etc.) and subjected to hazards associated in accomplishment of assigned duties at the Distribution Services Warehouses and Commissaries including control and custody of AICs.

The salary range listed above is for non-PERS qualifying applicants. PERS qualifying applicants may be eligible for an adjusted range to reflect an additional 6.95%.

The successful candidate for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access there may be some felony convictions that could disqualify you for this position.
