Bookkeeper

Salary:Based on experience and educational attainment
Qualifications:Graduation from high school with 3-5 years of clerical or office support experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Essential Job Functions:
- Prepare and maintain all school records using a computerized accounting program and generate monthly reports
- Generates requisitions and purchases orders; maintains inventory of supplies
- Verifies invoices against purchase orders
- Serve as school payroll operator and liaison between school staff and central payroll associates
- Write edit prepare or coordinate the preparation of correspondence reports charts graphs and other printed materials; researches content items for correctness of presentation and applicability
- Maintain strict confidentiality for all personnel matters
- Assures that all school funds are properly received and disbursed while maintaining accurate records
- Prepares and maintains monthly payrolls for all school employees
- Maintains financial records and accepts responsibility for state local federal and other allotments
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor/principal
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Requires ability to speak and/or signal people to convey or exchange information.
- Requires the ability to read a variety of correspondence reports handbooks forms lists etc.
- Requires the ability to apply rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

- Requires the ability to utilize mathematical formulas; to add and subtract; and to utilize decimals and percentages.

Physical Requirements:
- This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force
- Work regularly requires sitting speaking or hearing using hands to finger motions
