Job Description
Warehouse/Stores Specialist
This position is responsible for managing warehouse operations for IFAS Facilities Planning and Operations with a focus on inventory accuracy efficient coordination of shipments and internal customer support. The ideal candidate will be highly organized detail-oriented and able to ensure the safe and effective handling of all materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate stock records using inventory software and conduct routine audits
Receive inspect and verify incoming shipments and manage disbursement of goods
Coordinate deliveries and schedule pickups with vendors and departments
Oversee safe loading unloading and handling of materials
Serve as the point of contact for inventory inquiries and internal support needs
Organize warehouse space and maintain storage systems for efficiency and safety
Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment and environmental storage conditions
Keep thorough documentation of all warehouse transactions and prepare reports as needed

$18-20/hr. to commensurate with experience and qualifications.
High school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
- Current studies in industrial engineering project management or construction.
- Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite and email
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Motivated team player with an interest in advancement
- Proficient in working with the Asset software system (Eagle)
- Possess professional and courteous customer service skills
- Collect data including serial and model numbers on assets throughout the Gainesville campus (AC units fans motors water fountains etc.)
- Collaborate effectively with peers leadership and faculty
- Plan organize and coordinate work assignments with efficiency
