The Opportunity:
On the 26th July 2022 Scotland passed into Scots Law the Good Food Nation (Scotland) Act (GFN Act) a ground breaking attempt at transformational food systems legislation. The University of Edinburgh received a grant from the Wellcome Trust to support and evaluate the GFN Act. Within the scope of that grant is the creation of a Living Good Food Nation Lab comprising 4 units (Analytical Policy Systems Thinking and Grassroots) and which draws on systems thinking to explore food systems transformation.
We seek to hire a highly motivated Research Project Coordinator with excellent organisational communication and interpersonal skills for this Wellcome Trust funded Living Good Food Nation Lab project Research Project Coordinator will work very closely with Professor Mary Brennan (PI) and Senior Research Project Manager and Policy Unit Lead Dr Isabel Fletcher to ensure the project is delivered successfully on-time and within budget; that the 4 units and transdisciplinary consortium (internal and external partners co-applicants and stakeholders) work together constructively and that all project members (and stakeholders interacting with the work of the Living Lab) have a positive experience.
They will also be responsible for liaising with and supporting our Project Advisory Board comprising partners from the Scottish Government other non-governmental organisations industry representative organisation and civil society organisations and managing communication strategies for the project (e.g. website social media).
This post is full-time (35 hours per week) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working. There is possibility for flexible working.
