This job will involve helping our Fulfilment Centres (FC) identify opportunities and take better decisions to minimize under-the-roof costs maximize speed in delivery and ensure end to end net benefit.
Key job responsibilities
As an analyst in our team your key areas of responsibilities are to acts as a subject matter expert in continuous process improvement and automation for outbound FC risk management. To do so FC analysts collaborate with external stakeholders provide data driven root cause analysis in a timely meaningful and consumable way. They embrace FC risk management strategies and processes measure success and track the results.
The responsibilities include but not limited to:
Identify opportunities to deliver step-changes in FC related metrics by defining configuration and parameter adjustment based on innovative mathematical analysis.
Built data efficiency and automation in order to drive FC capacity management analysis processes and tools optimization.
Undertake daily FC data analysis and distribute reports to support key strategic decisions and formulate recommendations for stakeholders.
Develop and own new tools and mechanisms to solve challenging and ambiguous problems.
Collaborate and gather feedback from multiple stakeholders.
Clearly identify input/output relationships and the impact to operational and supply chain processes.
The successful candidate will have strong problem solve analytical and data driven skills in decision making with a demonstrated ability to drive issues to completion. A track record of delivering results in an ambiguous fast paced dynamic environment is a must. Being self-driven and adaptable key to success.
This role is based in our BCN1 FC in Barcelona. Occasional travel will be required.

What we do:
Network Flow & Risk Capacity Optimization Team is a centralized team serving Fulfillment Centers (FCs) across Europe.
- We seek for End-To-End net benefit. We minimize under-the-roof costs for FCs and maximize the opportunities for the FCs to deliver customer orders within 24hrs (1D delivery). We dive deep into the metrics and identify and address opportunities within the existing systems and processes.
- We are process experts. We simplify standardize and improve processes by using our expertise and strategic position within Amazon Fulfillment to innovate on behalf of the customer. We provide standard ways of working; and facilitate the decision making for FCs by delivering best in class products.
- We collaborate with external teams. Our team partners with senior FC leaders and external teams to deliver best in class products and processes to address improvement opportunities impacting and influencing from the overarching planning processes through the execution of the shift.
- Proficiency is written and spoken English (European Framework level B2)
- Strong analytical skills (familiar with SQL/VBA)
- Strong track record of communication skills across multiple stakeholder groups
- Problem solver comfortable working with data to make critical decisions
-Fluency in another European language
-Able to show experience working in remote / centralized teams
-Data science skills including SQL
-You have excellent judgement and be able to make decisions under pressure. You will be able to influence others in pressured situations in pursuit of great outcomes.
