REPORTS TO: FOOD AND NUTRITION SERVICE MANAGER/CNS SPECIALIST
SUPERVISES: 0 EMPLOYEES
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
9 Month Calendar -Employee will follow 9 month CLASSIFIED calendar
Hourly wage and work year to be determined by the 501 Board of Education
Works 7 hours per day in a production kitchen atSheldon Head Start preschool
Must attend and successfully complete Food Safety Basics class within the first six months of employment and at least once every 5 years
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED
More advanced math skills including multiplication and division
Ability to read and write the English language
Demonstrate knowledge of food safety basics
Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally
Ability to stand up to 7 hours
Knowledge of portion sizes
Ability to work well with others
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To prepare and/or cook food in a kitchen serve and distribute food to classrooms and perform cleaning activities. May assist in the effective overall operations of the Food and Nutrition Services Program at different kitchen locations as needed.
