As an Inpatient Mental Health Monitor Sitter you will perform health-related video monitoring in a correctional environment. We will count on you to report findings observations and the patients unusual and daily activities to the licensed nursing staff.

We Require
Six months of experience performing clerical or support services in a medical setting
High school diploma or GED
A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
We Also Value
Experience viewing multiple computer monitors and reporting findings
Experience observing patients and reporting findings to nursing staff
Job Contributions
Performs visual or video monitoring of Inpatient Mental Health patients and reports findings and observations to the licensed nurse
Provides and maintains patient confidentiality
Completes and processes all required documentation legibly timely and with accuracy
Assists the patient care team as directed to ensure patient care and unit activities are complete
Participates in orientation and training of new staff as well as group problem solving and teamwork
Completes required classes and education credits
Answers phones as needed and performs other related duties as assigned
Working Conditions
Must be able to work inside a jail setting in close proximity to inmates and other staff members
May sit for long periods watching monitors
May periodically experience high noise levels interruptions and dim lighting
