Atrium Hospitality is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join the Executive Team at the Omaha Embassy Suites a 249-room property with 16504 square feet of total event space. In this key leadership role you will oversee all aspects of engineering and maintenance operations ensuring smooth functionality and providing exceptional experiences for our guests. Were looking for a dedicated professional who brings strong decision-making skills a hands-on approach and the ability to inspire and lead a team in a dynamic hospitality environment. Salary Range: $60000- $70000

Bonus Eligible and Cellphone Allowance

What You Will Do:

  • Leaddevelop and traina diverse and effective team in accordance with Atrium Core Values;
  • Manageengineering associatesby ensuringtheyunderstand employment practices recommending employment decisions and corrective action supporting performance management and implementing discipline;
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of parts and supplies;
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in mechanical and electrical systems and other equipment throughout the hotel;
  • Participatein the development of the engineering and Capital budgetwhich at times involvesstrategic agility and sound planning capability;
  • Creatework scheduleswhilemanaging and measuring departmental needs andproductivity;
  • Oversee preventative maintenance assignmentsand the execution of Capital projects in partnership with the Atriumcapital team;
  • Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) Lock Out/Tag Out proceduresand all relevant Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards;
  • Track guest room requests for servicing and ensuring completion;
  • Serve asthe head of the propertys loss prevention and risk management programs managing the hotel loss prevention committees and ensuring all life safety systems are code compliant with the brand and the authority having jurisdiction (i.e. Fire Marshall Building Inspector etc.);
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures including reporting accidents injuries and unsafe work conditions to management;and
  • Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position

Bring your Knowledge and Experience:

  • 5 years of engineering experience to include mechanical electrical and plumbing
  • Prior supervisory/leadership experience
  • Experience with managing a hotel renovation process highly preferred
  • Prior responsibility for a department budget with a fundamental understanding of a P&L statement labor costs and other R&M expenses
  • Experience in managing utilities and energy systems
  • Understanding of capital planning and replacement cycles
  • Experience with NFPA fire code and life safety systems controls
  • Knowledge of computer equipment basic telephony and IT background.
  • Ability to use web-based applications for ordering scheduling CMMS systems experience.

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set years & depth of experience certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
