JOB TITLE:Junior Analyst
TYPE OF CONTRACT: Junior Consultant level III

BACKGROUND ANO PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The Corporate Planning Budgeting and Reporting Service (CFOB) is responsible far ensuring the delivery of annual planning and reporting products and the effective governance and performance assessment of Management Results and KPis. The service enables an accurate and effective corporate budget planning to reporting process and monitors corporate performance against budget and results targets to inform resource allocation decisions. Serving internal and external clients and stakeholders the division provides criticai support to oversight and decision-making driving the effective and efficient implementation of WFPs mandate.
The Junior Analyst will work under the supervision of the Performance Reports Officer and will provide a wide range of support to the CFOB service through a combination of writing editing research and preparation of materiai far senior management including data analysis and visualization.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
COMMUNICATION ACTIVITIES
1. Prepare briefing documents and communication materials
2. Document processes and prepare progress reports on ongoing initiatives and CFOB activities.
3. Prepare talking points far the CFOB far meetingsand presentations.
4. Develop thematic overviews presentations and strategie papers for the Service
5. Follow-up on agreed to action points and the dissemination of recommendations and best practices from presentations meetings andresearch.
6. Work with the Services Communication and Knowledge Management Officers to ensure alignment with the communication strategy and practices.
7. Support additional requests as required including preparation of any other communications materials data analysis and reporting requests far the CFOB management team members.
KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT AND DATA ANALYSIS:
8. Create and maintain CFOB sharepoints to ensure knowledge sharing within CFOB and with external stakeholders
9. Review compile quality check and collate infarmation in response to queries received maintaining accurate records as necessary including infarmation relateci to the Resources to Results framework
10. Prepare periodic or ad hoc reports to support managerial decisions.
11. Develop infographics and visual aids illustrating resource management concepts and other topics to support the preparation of presentations or briefings far varied audiences.
12. Coordinate infarmation requests and responses to those when received.
13. Perform data collection data cleaning data analysis and visualization of data.
14. Perform other duties as required
DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:
1. Quality briefing materials presentations talking points thematic papers prepared for the director in a timely manner.
2. Responses to requests managed and/or coordinated efficiently
3. Timely and accurate suppor to Service initiatives
4. Effective data visualization and infographic solutions adjusted for varied audiences.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: Degree in Business Administration Economics Journalism International Relations Public Relations Communications Public Administration or other relevant field or certifiable training in relevant trainings/courses with additional years of related work experience.
Experience: Three years of professional experience preferably in the International Humanitarian/Development area. Experience producing PowerPoints Data and other materials for senior management.
Knowledge & Skills:
Effective writing skills with demonstrated ability to write concise well-developed materials presentations and visuals under time constraints
Effective communication skills orally and in writing
Ability to establish priorities plan and organise work and produce results
Tact persuasiveness and ability to work in multicultural and diverse settings with credibility diplomacy and discretion
Proven ability to establish and maintain good working relations with internal and external stakeholder
Languages:
Fluency (level C) in English language is essential.
Intermediate knowledge (level B) of a second official UN language is preferred: Arabic Chinese French Russian Spanish and/or WFPs working language
